Hair loss is one of the biggest complaints of men. By age 35 two-thirds of men have experienced some type of hair loss. Although some hair loss is due to genetics, sometimes it is caused by other preventable things.
1. Eat more fish. Fish are healthy and full of minerals and protein. They also are a great way to get your omega-3 and D vitamins.Both of which have shown prevention. Fish also offers a ton of other healthy benefits for your body.
2. Keep yourself at healthy iron levels. Anemia can be caused by an iron deficiency, more commonly known in women, can also cause unexpected hair loss. Simply eat some iron-rich foods like tofu and pumpkin seeds.
3. Manage your stress. Sometimes a stressful event causes a "shock to your body" that alters the natural hair cycle. This could even cause up to 40% of your hair to die off, and then 3 months later it starts shedding. Do things that relieve stress, or cut stressful things out of your life if you can.
4. B Vitamin's. The B vitamins 2, 12, biotin, and folate are so important that sometimes they are even prescribed by a doctor for medical treatments for hair loss.
5. Regular Exercise. Regular exercise may arguably the most important advice -- at least when we are talking about your whole body, including your hair. Exercise can help stress relief and increases skin circulation. Sweat flushes out toxins from the body helping the skin in the process.
6. Be wary of certain prescription drugs. Blood thinners like warfarin, arthritic medications and psychiatric drugs like lithium are some examples of prescription meds that can create hair loss.
7. Personal Hygiene. Though it's not exactly a direct cause of losing your hair, a general lack of personal hygiene can lead to fungal scalp infections like tinea capitis that result in patchy hair growth.
8. Watch your carbs. Avoid eating foods high in carbohydrates like;Potatoes, rice, and pasta.By cutting down on these things you will regulate your blood sugar levels and lessen losing your hair.
9. Herbs. Herbs like ginseng, astragalas and licorice.Please be certain to consult your doctor before you any of these in the form of a capsule.
10. Avoid alcohol and caffeine. Both alcohol and caffeine can lower the levels of b vitamins, vitamin c, folic acid and zinc, causing deficiency which then affects hair growth.
11. Scalp massage. Another cause of losing your hair is because of weak hair bulbs. To strengthen your bulbs, you must activate your hairs metabolism. So if you massage your scalp a few times a week you can accomplish this.
12. Embrace it. Even if you do eventually lose the battle, you'll be joining a club with millions upon millions of members, and who knows? Maybe you'll stumble upon a few perks! Some women even think bald is sexy.
So try all the things mentioned above and remember, if you have sudden hair loss it's important to consult your physician.
